2016 | Yale Norfolk School of Art (Norfolk, CT)
A six-week intensive artist residency for nominated undergraduate art majors going into their final year of their degree program. Provided a studio and living space to pursue independent work, supported by classes, workshops, critiques, artist lectures, and individual studio visits. Earned credits in painting, drawing, printmaking, and photography from the Yale School of Art.


2017 - Present | Visual Arts Teacher, Jones College Prep High School (Chicago, IL)
Full-time teaching position at a selective-enrollment CPS high school grades 9-12. Taught multi-level Ceramics for two years before expanding the curriculum into a mixed media Sculpture course. Leads and teaches the AP Studio Art program, an advanced portfolio-building class for a select group of students. Designs contemporary curriculum that conceptually focuses on personal identity and social justice while developing technical skills and visual language. Responsibilities include developing positive relationships with students, classroom organization and management, grades and assessments, communicating with parents, faculty, and administration, coordinating field trips, curating and installing gallery shows to display student work, assisting students with college and scholarship applications, and writing letters of recommendations. Sponsors student groups and events, like Asian American Club.

2019 | Artist-in-Residence, Lakkos Artists Residency (Heraklion, Greece)
Invited to live and work on the island of Crete for two weeks to pursue independent projects, provided a communal space with other international artists. Completed a mural for the Lakkos Project, an urban restoration program for the historic neighborhood of Lakkos.

2019 | All-City Visual Arts Exhibition Staff, Chicago Public Schools Dept. of Arts Education
Assisted at Gallery 37 for the High School and Elementary School All-City Visual Arts Exhibitions for CPS students. Responsibilities included curating student work, installation/de-installation, and coordinating artwork drop-off/pick-up.

2017 - 2018 | Continuing Studies Instructor, SAIC Continuing Studies
Co-taught two-week sessions of the Middle School Program Drawing & Painting Camps for students aged 10-14. Collaborated with co-teacher in designing curriculum, writing lesson plans, organizing materials, leading slide lecture discussions and technical demonstrations, coordinating field trips, and producing culminating exhibitions of student work.

2017 | Student Teacher, Chicago Public Schools
Spent 7 weeks student teaching at Lane Tech College Prep High School then 7 weeks at Saucedo Scholastic Academy Elementary School under the supervision of a mentor teacher and student teaching advisor. Designed and facilitated original curriculum for the Art I and AP Sculpture classes at Lane Tech, including an edTPA lesson plan on Craftivism. Designed and facilitated original curriculum in drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and sculpture for students grades K-8 at Saucedo.

Assisted museum events and tours, substituted for the amputation demonstration for school groups.

2015 - 2017 | Early College Program Teaching Assistant, SAIC Continuing Studies (Chicago, IL)
Assisted the instructors for 10 day sessions with high school students in the interdisciplinary courses Artist & Material Studies and Advanced Projects. Worked with College Arts Access Program (CAAP) students, a college bridge program for select CPS high school students to prepare them for admission and success at schools of art and design. Responsibilities included leading workshops, assisting technical demonstrations, contributing to discussions and critiques, organizing materials, classroom organization and management, coordinating field trips, assisting students with college and scholarship applications, and producing culminating exhibitions of student work.

2015 | Early College Program Summer Institute Resident Advisor, SAIC (Chicago, IL)
Worked as part of a team of RAs for the ECPSI high school students residing at Jones Hall. Responsibilities included creating and assisting with programming, leading floor meetings, forming positive relationships with the students, office and on-call duties, prepping the dorms for move in and checking them for move out.

2015 - 2016 | Understudy Performer and Volunteer, Erica Mott Productions (Chicago, IL)

Assisted with the logistical tasks of facilitating and exhibiting multimedia performance shows. Performed as the understudy for the role of the sweatshop seamstress in the technopera 3 Singers.

Assisted the professors of three sections of Wired, a required web and coding class for first-year students at SAIC. Responsibilities included classroom setup, contributing to discussions and critiques, and assisting the students with Adobe Photoshop and website development.
